Helen Joyce Reid

Helen Joyce Reid, 89, passed away Thursday, August 17, 2023. Services will be at a later date.

Joyce was born September 6, 1933, in Reagan, Texas, to Ira and Rosa Porter. She devoted her career to nurturing young minds at a children's day care center for many years. Joyce was also a dedicated and faithful member of Bosqueville Baptist Church. She was a loyal and avid Dallas Cowboy fan who loved kittens and puppies.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Ira and Rosa Porter; her husband, James M. Reid, he was also known as “Rabbit”; and her brother, Ira Porter, Jr.

Joyce is survived by her daughter, Donna Borie and husband, John; her son, James A. Reid and daughter-in-law, Kim along with her two grandsons, Caleb and Jake; her granddaughter, Lindsey Borie; and her sister, Pat Hamby as well as many other beloved friends and family.
