Ivan Smith Ivan Paul Smith, 89, of Riesel passed away April 17, 2002 at a local hospital. Graveside services will be 10:00 AM Friday, April 19 at Riesel Cemetery with Rev. Joe Knox officiating. A memorial service will follow at 10:30 AM at the First Baptist Church Riesel. Mr. Smith was born May 24, 1912 in Sipe Springs, Texas to Israel and Elizabeth Smith. He married Thelma Gray. She preceded him in death May 13, 1999. He retired from Humble Exxon Oil in Livingston, Texas May 26, 1971. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Riesel. He is survived by his son, Mack Smith and wife, Barbara of Riesel, his grandchildren, Lea Teter and husband Bryan of Riesel, Ben Saage and wife Audrey of Elm Mott and Karryll Hansen and husband Jeff of Lorena, and his great-grandchildren, Bailey Teter, Reuben and Rachel Saage, and Aaron and Stephen Hansen.
