Jack McCarter III passed away on Friday, November 7, 2025, at home. Graveside Services will be Thursday, November 20th at 12:00 PM at the Bosqueville Cemetery with George Brock officiating.

Jack was born in Waco, Texas on January 18, 1954. He attended Highland Park Schools in Dallas, Texas. Jack attended the University of Texas and later entered the United States Marine Corps. After completing his service, he continued his education and obtained his degree from Trinity University.

Jack was an entrepreneur with many interests including real estate and most notably his company Lease Town. He enjoyed traveling with his family, golf, tennis and enjoying the sights and sounds of Las Vegas on many occasions.

Jack was devoted to his church, The Way of the Lord. For decades, his church was the center of his life and even at the end of his life, his pastor George Brock continued visits and held private lessons with Jack.

He was preceded in death by his father, Jack McCarter Jr., his stepfather, Rick Thompson and his mother, Margie Johnson McCarter Thompson.

Survivors include his sons, Jack McCarter IV and his son Jack McCarter V, Andrew Patrick McCarter and Benjamin Isaac McCarter and wife Erika. Also surviving are his sister, Bettie Rose McCarter Boyd and brother Joseph Parnell McCarter and many nieces and nephews.

The family wishes to thank Interim Hospice for almost a year of loving service. He loved his providers and always looked forward to their visits.
