James Anthony Wooten

James Anthony Wooten, 63, passed away Monday, November 5, 2022, at his home. A memorial service will be held Saturday, November 19, at 2:30 p.m., at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey Funeral Home.

Anthony was born September 1, 1959, in Waco, Texas. He graduated from Richfield High School, where he was co-captain of the football team and also played baseball. He was an avid sports fan. Anthony enjoyed fishing and boating and loved to tell a good joke.

Anthony earned an associate’s degree from TSTC. He worked as a roof estimator before his retirement from Montgomery Construction.

He was preceded in death by his father, James Wooten; mother, Norma June Wooten; and brother-in-law, Tommy Tucker.

He is survived by his sister, Sharon Tucker; niece, Kristen McClure and husband, James; great-nephew, Asher; and nephew, T.J. Tucker.
