James Mitchell, Jr. July 1, 1925 - June 11, 2008 James Darling JD Mitchell, Jr. of Waco died Wednesday, June 11, 2008. Services will be at 10:00 a.m. Friday, June 13, at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey Chapel with Jim Martin officiating. Burial will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday, June 14, at Holt Cemetery in Spearman, TX. J.D. was born July 1, 1925, in Wichita Falls, Texas to J.D. and Coye Mitchell. He was a very active member of Crestview Church of Christ. J.D. was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Zola Sheets Mitchell; and one sister, Jo Johnson. He is survived by his present wife, Sue Mitchell; daughters, Jan Plemons and husband, Jerry of North Richland Hills, TX; Nancy Blue and husband, Glen of Searcy, AR.; several grandchldren and great-grandchildren; his sister, Rosemary Watkins; as well as four dear step-children and their families.
