James "Jim" Wiedeman

James "Jim" Wilson Wiedeman, 79, of Waco, passed away on Friday, December 5, 2025. Services will be held Friday, December 12, 2025, at 10:00 a.m., with visitation starting at 9:00 a.m., prior to service, at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Oakwood Cemetery, Waco, Tx.

Jim was born in Temple, Tx to Dr. A.E. Wiedeman and Dorothy Pace Wiedeman on Christmas Day, 1945. Jim had 2 older brothers, John Montgomery and Andrew Earl, who made up the "Wiedeman boys". Jim had the privilege of traveling the country with his mother while growing up. Jim married the love of his life, Penny Frazier on November 18, 1967. They were married 50 years prior to her death in 2017. They had a daughter, Tasha, who they both loved more than anything else. Jim was a member of the Corvette Club in Waco in the 60's and 70's. Jim worked for Providence Hospital 29.5 years before he retired as the Director of Purchasing. Following his retirement, he worked at Curves International in Shipping and Receiving for several years. Jim loved to fish and golf in his free time. He loved spending time with his grandkids the most.

He was known for being a selfless man that put everyone ahead of himself. His family meant the world to him. He would gladly help anyone in need. He will be missed more than words can express.

He was preceded in death by his parents, 2 brothers, and his loving wife, Penny.

He is survived by his daughter, Tasha Duncan, and husband, Jason; Grandchildren Rori, James, Hudson and Logan; Sister-in-law, Karin Smith; Nephew Ryan Smith; Nephew Aric Smith, and wife, Julie and children, Nariah and Kannon; Niece Wendy Lessman, and husband Josh, and children, Colt, Katie, Wyatt. And his beloved German Shepherd, Leo.

Pallbearers will include James Duncan, Wes Bodiford, Jack Nichols, Carson Tullous, Ty'Riq Scott, and Zander Pruitt.
