Jerry Forrest

Jerry Wayne Forrest, 78, formerly of Waco, passed away Tuesday, October 28, 2025.

The family will receive friends Wednesday November 5, 2025, 10:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m., at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey Funeral Home. Graveside services and interment will be at 10:00 a.m. Thursday November 6, 2025, at Oakwood Cemetery with Reverend Steve Heyduck officiating. Masonic Honors under the auspices of J.H.Gurley Masonic Lodge # 337 AF& AM Waco, Texas.

Jerry was born on January 16,1947 in Houston, Texas to Bobby and Doris Forrest. There he met his first wife Glynda Wilkins and from that union they had three children, Cindy, Kyle and Tiffany. Jerry worked in a family business before moving his family to Waco, Texas where Glynda passed away in 1985. Jerry had several jobs while in Waco. He later married Penny Long and gained a stepson Stephen Cole. Jerry was an active Mason in Houston and Waco Texas.

Jerry was preceded in death by his grandparents, father Bobby and mother Doris Forrest, his first wife, Glynda, son, Kyle and second wife, Penny.

Survivors include daughter, Cindy, and husband Dennis Kwapis; daughter, Tiffany Forrest; son, Stephen, and his wife Megan Cole; granddaughters  Kimberly Servantes, Kristi, and her husband Pete Sertuche, Katie Shelton, Chelsie Dansby and Natasha Jones; grandson, Daniel, and his wife Desiree Dansby; son in law, Steve Dansby and Kieran Jones. He is also survived by 8 great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.
