John B. Jenkins, Jr. June 22, 1930 ? March 3, 2010 John B. Jenkins, Jr. of Channelview, formerly of Waco, passed away Wednesday, March 3, 2010, while hospitalized in Houston. A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday at Oakwood Cemetery with his cousin, Dr. James Leo Garrett, officiating. Visitation will be held from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Friday at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey Funeral Home. John was born June 22, 1930 in Waco to Mary Willett and John B. Jenkins, Sr. He graduated from Waco High School and Texas A&M University. He worked for many years as a maintenance contractor. He was a Staff Sergeant in the Air Force and served in the Korean War. He was a deacon in the Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife; Janice; his three children, Bart Jenkins and wife, Diane; Janie Burnett and husband, Douglas Booker; Julie Jenkins and companion, Jessica Richard; grandchildren, Jade Hunt, Lauren Rigsby and husband, Andrew, Sarah Burnett, Jennifer Jenkins; great grandson, Jadon Rigsby, and numerous cousins and their families.
