John Deston Bardin III passed away June 4, 2024, he was 29 years old.
His funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m., Saturday, June 22, 2024, in the Chapel at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey Funeral Home in Waco, Texas, with interment to follow at 2:30 p.m., at Bazette Prairie Point Cemetery located in Kerens, Texas. There will be a visitation Friday evening, June 21, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. in the garden room at the funeral home.
“Deston” was Born on October 10, 1994, in Waco, Texas and he grew up in the Waco area. He attended Crawford Elementary, Crawford High School and graduated from Valley Mills High School. Deston’s Love for his family and friends was his greatest Pleasure. He had such a big heart, he touched everyone’s lives with his humor and his desire to help where he was needed. He was funny, caring and Hardworking, he worked with his grandmother in the restaurant business his entire life and was standing in a chair making change at the WISD sports complex at the age of 7. Deston was looking forward to working with his Nana in the Restaurant Business again. He will be missed by all who knew him.
Deston was preceded in death by his grandfather, David Edward Elmore; grandfather, Leroy Clint Holleman; great uncle, Clifford Rezter; and uncle, Michael Jeffrey McGee.
Survivors include his mother, Jennifer Matthews and husband, David; his father, John Bardin; sister, Ashley Helm and her son, Rowan; brother, Christian Bardin; step-sister Zaylee Matthews; grandmother, Diane Nowlain; grandparents, Noreen and Jonathan Powell; aunt, Sheri Hoffpauir and husband, Tim; aunt, Amy Castaneda and husband Joe; as well as many loving aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Pallbearers include, Christian Bardin, Ashley Bardin, Jonathan Powell, Calvin Lowe, Chris Olsen, Sam Leger, Luke Leger, Aaron Glatter
