Jose Alvarado Angeles, 85, passed away in Waco, Texas, on March 25, 2021. Services will be 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, March 31, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with Fr. Benji officiating. Visitation will be 5:00 to 8:00 p.m., with Rosary at 6:00 p.m., Tuesday, March 30, at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey Funeral Home. Jose was born on November 1, 1935, in El Durazno de San Francisco, Pinal de Amoles, Queretaro, Mexico, to parents, Cipriano Alvarado and Paula Angeles. He married the love of his life, Petra Zea, on March 2, 1955. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend. His laughter and sense of humor were on display throughout his life. He enjoyed spending time with his family, playing loteria in the evenings, singing and making his family laugh with his silly jokes. He loved traveling and visiting family both in Mexico and the US. He lived his life in service to others and would always lend a helping hand to those who needed aid. He was also a member of St. Eugene's Catholic Church in McGregor. He served the Lord faithfully through his acts of service and kindness towards all. Jose was preceded in death by his parents, Cipriano Alvarado and Paula Angeles; brothers, Tomas and Juan Alvarado; sisters, Margarita and Domitila Alvarado; daughters, Francisca and Olga Alvarado; grandson, David Alvarado; daughter-in-law, Belen Mejia; and son-in-law, Alfonso Trejo. Survivors include his wife, Petra Zea Avila; sons, Loreto and wife, Esbeida Alvarado, Victor and wife, Sofia Alvarado, Cipriano and wife, Teresa Alvarado, and Valente Alvarado; daughters, Isabel and husband, Francisco Trejo, Juliana and husband, Albino Vences, Natalia and husband, Vicente Jaimes, and Gregoria and husband, Jesus Perez; and brother, Juan de Dios Alvarado and wife, Karitina. He is also survived by his 32 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren. He loved God, his family, and lived a beautiful life full of joy. Our family is grateful to have been chosen to be a part of his journey. We grieve at our loss but rejoice in the assurance that we will all be reunited again one day in His glory.
