Juanita B. Merritt March 31, 1921 – September 4, 2006 Juanita B. Merritt, 85, of Waco was united with the Lord on Monday, September 4, 2006. Services will be at 11:00 A.M. Thursday, September 7 at Waco Memorial North Mausoleum with Rev. David Shuttlesworth officiating. Visitation will be from 6 – 8 PM, Wednesday, Sep. 6 at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey Funeral Home on Bosque Blvd. Juanita was born March 31, 1921, in Tyler, TX to Sally Lee and John W. Head. She married Thomas Ira Merritt May 14, 1940. She was lifetime member of Park Lake Drive Baptist Church. Her parents, husband, five brothers, one sister, son, Tommy Merritt, Jr. and granddaughter, Patty Lynn Monahan preceded her in death. She is survived by one son, Billy Merritt, Sr. and wife, Dorothy of Robinson; three grandsons, Billy Merritt Jr., Steven Merritt, Thomas Justin Merritt; two great grandchildren, Madison and Mason; and several nieces and nephews. Memorial donations may be sent to Hillcrest Hospice.
