Juanita R. Gonzales

Juanita R. Gonzales lived a life rooted in faith, compassion, and service to others. A devoted Catholic and beloved member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Juanita’s life was a beautiful reflection of her faith and her belief in caring for those in need.

Juanita proudly served her country in the United States Army as a nurse, beginning a lifetime devoted to caring for others. She went on to dedicate her professional life to nursing as a Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN). For Juanita, however, caring for others was more than a career, it was simply who she was.

Throughout her life, she opened her heart to those who were sick, hurt, saddened, or hungry. She offered comfort to those who were weary, nourishment to those in need, and kindness to those who needed to know they were not alone. She served others quietly and lovingly, asking little in return and allowing her Catholic faith to guide the way she lived.

Juanita was preceded in death by her loving husband, Gil Gonzales; her mother, Simona Saucedo; her father, Luciano Rodriguez; her brothers, Cleofas Rodriguez, Maximo Rodriguez, Joe Rodriguez, Edward Rodriguez, Junior Rodriguez, and Mario Rodriguez; and her sisters, Josephine Pecina and Simona Gonzalez.

She is survived by her sisters, Sevastiana Lopez of Abilene, Texas, and Margarita Villanueva and husband, Carlos Villanueva, of Fort Worth, Texas, along with many beloved nieces, nephews, and extended family members.

Although Juanita had no children of her own, she dearly loved all her nieces and nephews. They held a special place in her heart, and the love she gave them throughout her life will remain a treasured part of her legacy.

Juanita will be remembered for her servant’s heart, her devotion to God and family, and the compassion she so freely extended to others. Her life was one of giving—through her service to her country, her calling as a nurse, her devotion to her faith, and the countless acts of love and kindness she offered throughout her lifetime.

Her earthly work is complete, but the love she gave remains in the hearts of all who were blessed to know her.

May she rest in eternal peace in the loving presence of our Lord.
