Judy Dowdy November 20, 1953 - October 12, 2010 Judy Dowdy of Colleyville, Texas, passed away Tuesday, October 12, 2010. Services will be 11:00 a.m., Saturday, October 16, at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey Chapel with Dr. Steven Mansen officiating. Burial will follow at China Spring Cemetery. Visitation will be 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Friday, October 15, at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey. Judy was born November 20, 1953, in Waco, Texas, to Billy Joe and Othella Pursley. She was an optician at Advantage Optical. Judy was a member of Richfield Christian Church in Waco. Judy was preceded in death by her father, Billy Joe Pursley; step-father, J.D. York and Weldon Linville. She is survived by her husband, Richard Dowdy of Colleyville; mother, Othella York of Waco; two brothers, Robert Pursley and wife, Cindy, of China Spring and Anthony Pursley and wife, Esther, of Waco; three sister, JoAnn Starnes and husband, Keith, of Lumberton, TX; Nan Castello and husband, Chris, of Austin, TX, and Annette Frazier of Oregon; and over a dozen very close nieces and nephews.
