Mary Nell Hesse

Mary Nell (Jones) Hesse, 98, of Waco, passed to her eternal resting place January 13, 2026, in Denton, Texas. Service will be held at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey Funeral Home, 6101 Bosque Blvd., Waco, Texas, Sunday, January 25, 2026, at 1:00 p.m. Reception to follow service with private interment in McGregor cemetery.

Born October 10, 1927, in Carlton, Texas, daughter of the late Nan Lavena (Elder) Jones and James Druid Jones of Hico, Texas.

Mary Nell is preceded in death by her husband, Richard J. Hesse; sisters: Leona V. Cox, Mamye L. Casey; brothers: J. D. Jones, Jr., Billy W. Jones, Wade C. Jones, Wayne D. Jones and Alvie Lee Jones.

She is survived by her daughter, Kathey; son-in-law, Mark Hannah; granddaughter, Emilie Kivell and her sisters: Phyllis Hatchett and Virginia Woller.
