Mary Lou Featherston

Mary Lou Featherston November 17, 1924 - May 18, 2006 Mary Lou Featherston of Waco passed away Thursday, May 18, 2006 at a local hospital. Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, May 20, at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey Bosque Chapel with Brian Serr officiating. Mary Lou was born November 17, 1924 in San Antonio to Sterling Hubbard Polley and Merle Mary Polley. Mary Lou lived in Port Arthur, for over 45 years before moving to Waco in1995. She retired as the Director of Public Relations at the Port Arthur Public Library in 1993. She is survived by her sister and her husband, Glenna and Earle Hamley of Georgetown; three sons and their wives: Tom and Sherry Featherston of Waco, Bill and Cynthia Featherston of Houston and Brit and Amy Featherston of Beaumont. Her greatest joy was her six grandchildren and five great grandchildren. Memorial donations may be made to Stilwell Retirement Residence, Waco, The Westview School, Houston or The Port Arthur Public Library.
