Mary Mathis December 9, 1912 - June 20, 2006 Mary Mathis of Waco passed away Tuesday, June 20, 2006 at Meadowlands Terrace. Services will be at 2:00 PM Sunday, June 25, at Central Christian Church Chapel with Dr. Steven Mansen officiating. Burial will be at 11:00 AM Monday, June 26 at Restland Memorial Park in Dallas, TX. Visitation will be from 2 - 4 PM Saturday, June 24 at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey. Mary was born December 9, 1912 in Belton, TX to E. B. and Rhoda Catherine Echols. She and Frank Mathis were married September 11, 1941 in Dallas. Mary was a bookkeeper for many businesses in the Dallas area and in particular worked for The Greater Dallas Council of Churches. She was a member of Central Christian Church of Waco. She was preceded in death by her husband. She is survived by her son, Frank Howard Mathis and wife, Jane; one sister, Edith Corinne Bowman and three grandchildren: Lenora, Ben and Catherine.
