Michael Darrell Moore, Jr.

Michael Darrell Moore Jr., 19, of Lorena passed away Saturday, August 19, 2023. A memorial service to celebrate his life will be held at 3:30 p.m. September 2, at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey Funeral Home in Waco, Texas, with Sherri Evans officiating. Visitation will begin one hour prior to the service.

Michael was born October 8, 2003, in Waco, Texas. He attended school in Lorena and graduated in 2022. Michael attended the electrician program at TSTC, receiving his associate degree. He then began his career with Bowen Electric. Michael’s hobbies were football, gaming, and spending time with family and friends.

Michael was preceded in death by his sister, Imani Moore; grandmother, Wylletta Hamilton; and his great-grandparents, James and Ruth Wade and Joe Drake.

He is survived by his parents, Michael and Sharitta Moore; brother, Messiah Moore; sisters, Mirakel Moore and Milahni Moore; grandparents, Wallace and Vickie Ferguson and Joe W. Moore Sr.; great-grandmother, Patricia Wright; aunts, Michelle Johnson and Laquinta Perkins; uncle, Joe W. Moore Jr.; and a host of other aunts, uncles, and cousins.
