Nell Yates Helka January 9, 1929 - April 17, 2011 Nell Yates Helka of Waco passed away Sunday, April 17, 2011. Services will be 1:30 p.m. Thursday, April 21, at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey Chapel with the Rev. Lester Adams officiating. Burial will follow at Waco Memorial Park. Visitation will be 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, April 20, at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey. Nell was born January 9, 1929, in South Bosque, Texas, to Lawrence and Mary Yates. She was a retired bookkeeper and a beloved mother. She loved dancing and is now dancing in the presence of her Lord. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Vincent George Helka; and brother, Hugh Yates. She is survived by her daughter, Jan Hopper of Waco; and her son, James E.
