Patsy Bryant May 11, 1932 - April 29, 2010 Patsy Bryant of China Spring went to be with her Lord and Savior on Thursday, April 29, 2010, surrounded by her family and devoted husband, Melvin. Services will be 2:00 p.m., Monday, May 3, at Oak Grove Baptist Church with Bro. Richard Sellers officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be 4:00 to 6:00 p.m., Sunday, May 2, at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey Garden Room. Patsy was born May 11, 1932, in Waco to Virgil and Elizabeth Sanders Dorman. She graduated from Waco High in 1950 and married the love of her life that same year. Although she worked outside the home several times, her focus was always on her family. She was multi-talented and loved to cook, sew, crochet and knit. She baked and decorated birthday and wedding cakes for the public as well as all her family. For many people besides family, she was simply known as MeeMaw. She was preceded in death by her parents; one son, Gene; a brother and a sister. She is survived by her husband of 59 years, Melvin Bryant, of China Spring; daughters, Elizabeth Layne and husband, Tommy; Margaret Sykora and husband, Butch; Laura Obenoskey and husband, Darren; sons, Earl Bryant and wife, Cindy; Roland Bryant and wife, Jani; Wayne Bryant and wife, Nimmie; 22 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren; one sister of Clarksville, Tennessee; daughter of her heart, Nori Foley; many nieces, nephews and dear friends. Pallbearers will be her grandsons, Roy, Ben, Blake, Brandon, Blain, Jacob and Allen Bryant, Scott Layne, Ernest and Charles Patterson, and Mason Obenoskey. Special thanks to Scott and White Hospice for all their care and support. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Scott and White Hospice or the charity of choice.
