Robert L. Fuller

Robert Leon Fuller, 73, of Waco, lovingly known as “Bob”, passed away Tuesday, December 23, 2025, at Providence Hospital surrounded by close family and friends. Bob will lie in state Saturday, December 27 and Sunday, December 28 from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. for those wishing to pay their respects. Visitation will be Monday, December 29,2025, from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey Funeral Home in Waco. Funeral service will be at 12:00 p.m., with Pastor John Rainey officiating. Burial will be at Crawford City Cemetery.

A native of Waco, Bob was born November 25, 1952. He attended Reicher Schools before moving with family to Bentonville, Arkansas, during high school. After high school graduation he returned to Waco to enroll in the Waco Police Academy. Bob served the Waco community both as a Waco Police Department Patrolman and a Detective for 31 years before retiring. Following assignments with the McLennan County Sheriff’s Department, the City of Lacy Lakeview, and the City of Troy, Bob became Chief of Police for City of Crawford, Texas. Bob continually supported his police community helping to teach new officers at the MCC police academy. During his time at Waco PD, Bob met Connie and they married in 1978, together raising four kids. Bob was a member and Elder of Southside Church of Christ where he served for 47 years. He loved his family, his work families, his nieces and nephews, and supporting the Crawford Pirates.

Bob was preceded in death by his father, Sam C. Fuller, Sr.; mother, Bettie Frances Bass Fuller; brother, Sam Fuller, Jr.; sister, Melinda Fuller; father and mother-in-law, J.D. and Nell Bruce; and his brother-in-law, Ronnie Bruce.

Bob is survived by his wife of 47 years, Connie Fuller; daughters, Amy Bullock and her husband, Kevin Bullock, Amanda Fuller, Ashley Pfennig and her husband, Travis Pfennig; son, Adam Fuller and wife, Shelby Fuller; his grandsons, Johnathan Bullock, Tanner Pfennig, Colin Pfennig, and Lucas Fuller; and sister, Ruthanne Fuller Hix.

Pallbearers will be his nephews, Josh Bruce, Dustin Bruce, Devin Bruce, Daniel Bruce, grandson, Johnathan Bullock, and son-in-law, Travis Pfennig. His grandsons, Tanner and Colin Pfennig will serve as honorary pallbearers.
