Senia Marie Lahti July 12, 1928 - August 9, 2006 Senia Marie Lahti of Waco went Home to be with God and reunited with her beloved husband on Wednesday, August 9, 2006. Graveside services will be at 11:00 a.m. Monday, August 14, at Waco Memorial North Cemetery with Rev. Richard Koskela officiating. Visitation will be from 4-6 p.m. Sunday, August 13, at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey Garden Room. Senia was born July 12, 1928 in Laurium, MI to Peter and Hilda Maki. She and Richard Maurice Lahti were married on March 26, 1949 and celebrated 55 years of marriage in 2004. Senia was a longtime member of the Apostolic Lutheran Church. She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother to her family and a dear friend to all who knew her. Her devotion to her family can best be summed up by the Donna Fargo song “You Were Always There.” She was preceded in death by parents; her husband, Richard; her infant daughter, Karen Lynn; her brothers, Waldren, Paul, and Charles Maki; and her sisters, Martha Krambrink, Effie Lahti and Esther Naasko. She is survived by daughter Maureen Diane Lahti and husband, Joe Horton Bunyard of Tom Bean, TX; son, Steven Dwight Lahti of Waco; son, Wayne Douglas Lahti and wife, Juana of Colorado Springs, CO; her daughter. Susan Marie Holland of Round Rock, TX; her daughter, Sharon Renee Lahti of Waco; 5 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren; and her brother John Henry Maki and wife, Sally of Sterling Heights, MI. Jesus said to her, I am the resurrection and the life.
