Sherrie Lynn Powell February 4, 1953 - June 5, 2011 Sherrie Lynn Powell of Waco passed away Sunday, June 5, 2011, at her residence. Services will be 11:30 a.m., Wednesday, June 8, at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey Chapel with Pastor Lee Casey officiating. Burial will follow at Rosemound Cemetery. Visitation will be 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, June 7, at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey Garden Room. Sherrie was born February 4, 1953, in Waco to John and Inez Carlisle, Sr. She was a registered nurse at Providence Hospital until she retired. She was preceded in death by her parents, John Monroe and Inez LaDene Carlisle; and her husband, Lawrence Powell. She is survived by one daughter, Scarlett Carter and husband, John; four grandchldren Lane, Hunter, Carson, and Savannah Carter; three brothers, Jimmy Carlisle and wife, Donna, John M. Carlisle, Jr., and Glenn R. Carlisle; two sisters, Linda Carlisle and Carolyn Bohn and husband, Kenneth; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
