Shirley Boudreau, beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully on November 15, 2025. A memorial service will be held at a later day.
To know Shirley was to know unconditional love in its truest form. She was a woman of remarkable warmth and generosity, someone who lived every day with others at the center of her heart.
For her family, Shirley was much more than a matriarch—she was a steady presence, a second mother, and the most selfless person you could hope to encounter. Her love language was simple and sincere: acts of service. Whether she was cooking a homemade meal, keeping a spotless home, doing laundry for someone who needed help, or offering the kind of quiet caregiving that spoke louder than words, Shirley expressed her love through giving. And if she couldn’t care for you with her hands, she found joy in giving you something she knew would make you smile. Her generosity had no limits.
Shirley lived a full and beautiful life, rising from humble beginnings to create a family legacy filled with love, strength, and connection. She overcame early adversity with grace and determination, building a life she was deeply proud of. She was the devoted mother of four children, grandmother to eight, and great-grandmother to seven—each of whom she cherished beyond measure. To them, she was “Mamaw,” “Nana,” or “Grandma,” but always the same constant source of affection, encouragement, and absolute love.
In her younger years, Shirley kept an immaculate home and was known for hosting extravagant gatherings, where her exquisite taste, creativity, and warm hospitality shined. She had an eye for beauty—both in the finer things and in the world around her. Her life took her far beyond her small-town roots; she lived in Brazil, Venezuela, and Europe, and traveled throughout Africa and China. Everywhere she went, she absorbed the beauty, culture, and wonder the world had to offer.
Shirley leaves behind a legacy of kindness, service, strength, and love that will live on in the countless lives she touched. Her family takes comfort in knowing that her spirit—gentle, generous, and overflowing with love—will live on forever in His Glory.
She will be deeply missed and forever cherished.
