Sylvia Herrera Aleman

Sylvia Herrera Aleman passed away on September 3, 2026, at Hillcrest Medical Center in Waco, Texas.

Sylvia was born on December 8, 1965, in Waco, Texas, where she was raised and spent much of her life. During her teenage years, she attended Arlington High School.

On September 9, 1995, she married the love of her life, Julio Aleman. Sylvia worked as a medical receptionist for most of her career.

She found joy in baking and loved keeping up with her favorite television program, The Young and the Restless.

Sylvia was preceded in death by her father, Rudy Herrera; her brother, Boy Herrera; and her son, Rudy Brandon Aleman.

She is survived by her mother, Mary Lou Villarrial, and her husband, Lupe Villarrial; her husband, Julio Aleman; her son, Julio Nicolas Aleman, and his partner, Jayland Brown; her niece, Izabella Estrella Canales, and her mother, Daisy Canales; her nephew, Justin Herrera; her honorary children, Elisa B. Cotto and Erica D. Maye; and her cousin, Gloria Romo, and her husband, Daniel Romo.
