LEONARD, RET. USAF, SSGT BENNY SSGT Benny W. Leonard, Ret. USAF, age 47, of Waco died Monday, June 25, 2001 at a local hospital. Military graveside services will be 2:00 PM Thursday, June 28th at Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be 6:00-8:00 PM Wednesday, June 27th at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey, 6101 Bosque Blvd. SSGT Leonard was born December 9, 1953 in Houston. He graduated from Grand Prairie High School in 1972. He was a retired Staff Sergeant from the U.S. Air Force after serving 20 years. He married Rebecca McCoy June 8, 1973 in Irving. He was a member of Classic Chevy Intl. He had been a resident of Waco since 1994. He had been employed at J.C. Penney and Univex Intl. Corp. after his retirement from the military. He had attended MCC and TSTC.
