On June 5, 1980, he married Wendy Lynn Fish at Calvary Baptist Church in Altoona. They celebrated their 40th anniversary this past year. Steve enjoyed Penn State football, the Pittsburg Pirates and Steelers, and sports and statistics of all kinds. He was proud of his Penn State Lifetime Member status. Numbers were his thing. He counted everything – even the steps inside the Washington Monument when visiting as a teenager. Steve loved 70s music, often tuning into the Kasey Kasem countdown shows. He enjoyed traveling, bicycling, and spending time with his grandchildren. Steve’s life reflected his relationship with the Lord, having a steady and quiet demeanor, always giving, and helping others. He attended Highland Baptist Church in Waco.
