Sylvia I. Bird November 23, 1922 – May 25, 2007 Sylvia I. Bird died Friday, May 25, 2007. Funeral services will be held at Temple Rodef Sholom on Tuesday, May 29th at 3:30 p.m. Sylvia was born November 23, 1922, in Waco, Texas. She was preceded in death by her parents, Abe and Toby Schwartz and her husband, Harold L. Bird. Her sister Rhoda Bernstein passed away earlier in the year. Sylvia is survived by her son, David Bird and wife, Sherilyn, and grandson Zachary of Dallas, TX; granddaughter, Stacy Brown and husband, Kevin and great-granddaughter, Sylvie Bella Brown of Atlanta, GA. Sylvia also was survived by her nieces, Judy Balunda of Hurst, TX and Sharon Zellner of Dallas, TX along with many loving cousins in Waco, Dallas and Austin. Sylvia had many close friends and will be remembered by all of them for her generous spirit and willingness to help others.
