Thomas L. Jack Ward

JACK WARD Thomas L. Ward, 87, of Waco, died Saturday, November 10, 2001 in a local hospital. Services will be 1:30pm, Wednesday, November 14th at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey Chapel, 6101 Bosque Blvd., with Charles Middlebrooks officiating. Burial will follow at Waco Memorial Park. Visitation will be 6:00-8:00pm Tuesday, November 13th at the funeral home. Mr. Ward was born May 18, 1914 in Pensacola, Florida to Andrew Jackson and Beulah Watkins Ward. He was a life long Texas resident. He married Lucille Godwin June 13, 1938. He was a bowler with the Lake Air Senior League. He was a member of Waco Masonic Lodge #92 and a life long Baptist. He retired from the Central Texas Iron Works Company in 1980. He was a devoted husband and father. He was preceded in death by his parents, 12 brothers and sisters and 1 great grandchild. Survivors: wife; Lucille Ward of Waco, daughters; Peggy Tooker and Jackie Kirksley & husband Carl, son; James Ward & wife Ruth, 6 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.
