Wanda Louise Giotes October 9, 1941 - December 26, 2010 Wanda Louise Carruth Giotes of Waco passed away at her home with her family at her side, Sunday, December 26, 2010, after a courageous battle with cancer. Services will be at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, December 29, at the First United Methodist Church of Waco with the Rev. Stephen Ramsdell officiating. Burial will follow at Oakwood Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m., Tuesday, December 28, at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey. Wanda was born October 9, 1941 in Waco, Texas to Frank and Viola Vahrenkamp Carruth. She graduated from Waco High School and Baylor University. She was married 47 years to her high school sweetheart, Artie. Wanda taught school for four years and afterwards devoted her life to her family. She was very involved with her church, bible study and various civic organizations. Wanda�s life personified her strong faith. She was preceded in death by her parents; and brother, Jack Carruth. She is survived by her husband, Artie G. Giotes; son, Bradley G. Giotes and wife, Jean; and daughter, Karen Giotes Nabers and husband, Tim; grandchildren, Megan and Ashley Giotes, and Rachel and Davis Nabers; her brothers, James Carruth and wife, Vickie; and Billy Carruth and wife, Beth; sister, Betty Hess and husband, Al, and sister-in-law, Modene Carruth.
