Yolanda was born in Waco, Texas, to Paul and Faustina Martinez, Sr. She grew up and lived her entire life in Waco. She graduated from the old Waco High School and worked in retail, spending 35 years at Walmart in Bellmead before retiring.
On January 25, 1968, she married the love of her life, Johnny O. Rodriguez. Yolanda will always be remembered for her deep dedication to her family and her devotion to Sacred Heart Catholic Church. She served as a Eucharistic Minister and taught Catechism (CCE) classes. She enjoyed traveling to San Antonio with Johnny and always made sure their last stop was Janie’s Record Shop before heading home. She also cherished spending time with her family.
